It is with a great feeling of achievement that we were able to help  a person who was not a member of the
club.
He asked if we could place an add for his van on our web site as he was emigrating to New Zealand.
We had a call to say the advert worked great and he sold his van to some one in Europe and they were
coming over to collect it.
He was very grateful for our help.

Just goes to show the Club is being recognised and is being followed..even by those abroad.....
Adverts work         well sometimes..... depends on item......

Be aware of where your caravan is and the state it is in.

This week some one tried to steal a TEC from a compound..  (MINE)
the damage done is as follows..

Smashed off both rear leg locks. Buckling both rear legs.
Levered off both wheel clamps.
Tearing off one wheel arch in the process.
Cutting the alarm cable to the trembler device on one of the front corner legs.
Cut off the 13 pin plug from the TEC and cut off a 7 pin plug from a van near by to wire up the lights.
Smashed off the security cover from hitch lock.
Then they smashed the hitch lock handle so they could lift the handle up to remove the ball inside the
hook,

the caravan was secured to the ground via a large chain through a boat hook which was sunk in the
ground to a depth of 2 foot , the chain was through the boat hook coming up through the A frame, through
the hitch lock handle and back down to be secured by a heavy duty security lock.

The concrete block which was 2 foot deep was dug up using kitchen knives out of the van.
The block was then smashed so they could wrap the chain and lock around the jockey wheel handle, this
being tied in place with a tea towel taken from inside the van
they then broke the fridge door and stole 2 cans of beer.
The main gate to the compound had the security hasp and padlock smashed off
and the security lights smashed,  one was even knocked right off the wall.

KEEP A CHECK ON YOUR VAN.    VISIT IT REGULARY.
                                                      Letter from Chairman.
2010. Our New Year Rally  was one of the best supported for sometime, but complaints
were made to the site managers from several guests about children who were
unsupervised by their parents, resulting in a lot of upset, and that if  this behaviour
happens again, we will be asked to leave or exclude those concerned  from any future
rallies at Diamond Farm. This we do not want to have to do, so we, the committee,
respectfully ask that members with children please make sure they are supervised at all
times.   to prevent this unfortunate circumstance occurring again.

We actively encourage families to the club as we believe that this is the right way
forward for the owners club. Help us to keep it that way by respecting those who also
enjoy our  passion for caravanning but do not have children and probably do not
appreciate the energy children have when they come out to enjoy themselves too.

Thank you for your understanding and help to prevent this happening again in the future
and lets look forward to a fantastic 2010 season.
Happy New Year to you all.
Ken Platt. Club Chairman.
Urgent Information
After a great deal of talks and disgustions we have moved the
AGM rally from Barnstones to Anita's at Mollington.
for the AGM meeting itself we have secured the restaurant area
in the Bell Inn public house in Great Bourton.
Where a buffet will be  available and turning the evening into a
more relaxed and sociable occassion.
If the weather is nice and warm, then the meeting can be held
out in the garden.
