Rallies 2007
Due to the Caravan and boat show no rally was held in February..
But various members helped out on the stand demonstarting the vans.. it is
believed all had a good time.. exhausting but still most enjoyable..
there are some pics on the pics page..
A rally was held at the Willows in Huntigdon.
sweat talk him into not making us pay the extra..
But all in all a very good weekend was had buy those who did turn up...
a Rally was held at Comberton Golf Club down in Pershore.
it was a shame that 6 units booked but then only 4 showed up..
it was with a great deal of chat and pleeding that we didnt have to pay for
those not showing up for the weekend..
Thanks to Gary. who treated all the people who helped out at
the NEC Caravan and outdoor show. To a Party..Hard work but
well worth while.
Well where do we start on this one..
Site was great, the weather was brilliant. and a lot seemed to go
on over the few days we were away.
There was a birthday on Friday , one lucky chap..
Saturday was a good free restful day ending in a massive
bar-b-q.. Sunday a great day with various games being played.
even a round up.. all we needded was a lassoo.. well done Ken.
you'll make a herdsman yet....
Pete seemed to have caught a bit of sun and had to have some
sun cream rubbed into his head..
Young Callam thought it best to keep on the right side of the
bull and give it some food..
which it seemed to enjoy.. Young Bobby did so enjoy her eggs...
even if it did mean spreading them around a bit......... And yet
another Birthday..
well done Hillary.. 21 again.. you look good on it..
All in all a very good time was had by all..
A big Welcome to the new comers (Bob and Maggie) who
came and joined in and hopefully we will see u again..

GERMAN TRIP..
A number of the committee went to Germany to view the new Weltbummer latest
edition.. This was an invite by The T.E.C.
But the comments so far from various members.. Even though they had a good time in
Germany.. It would appear T.E.C was not all that accommodating to the English
contingent.

The Rally to Baston Fen was not attended by many members but those that did go
had a good time..
the site was great.. Nice shower/toilet block, a fishing lake for those who wanted
to use it..
A computer room for those who wanted to use it. also there was a wireless
network so you could even use your own computer should you so wish in the
privacy of your van. The picnic area was nice and secluded and very much less
windy that the rest of the site.
on occassions the weekend did get a bit chilly and a tad damp but that did not
dampen the spirit of those who showed up..
On the Saturday Afternoon evening we were visited by the Editor and chief
Photographer of the Out and About Magazine.
After a chat and drink they then left us to carry on erecting the gazebo's that had
arrived..
Some very nice trendy costumes from the 60's were worn in the evening and
some good examples of 60's dancing was to be seen..
Due the non urgent departure from the site on the sunday , every body travelled in
convoy to the hungry horse and after a great meal, once back to the site all then
hooked up and departed for home....

Due to the complete lack of interest the Rally for June to Anita's and the
Bowling. In Banbury. was Cancelled.

The Rally to Bletchingdon. went very well indeed.
5 units attended and once set up. soon set about doing their own thing.
On Saturday evening we set up a gazibo and with the added shade from Marks van made
a nice long table and all 15 of us got bar-b-q's going and all sat and had a great meal....
lots of laughs and drink was flowing.. the evening packed up at about 23.30 and all headed
to our beds... Sunday morning once everyone was up a few paid the extra couple of
pounds and stayed on till after noon instead of going off early.
some went to teh carvery and some to go get a nice plate full of baked potatoe.
The weather was brilliant and we couldn't have asked for anything better..
A big welcome to Bob our new member who joined whilst away on the rally as a guest..
Everyone entered the spirit of the saturday evening and all had the right gear on..
a nice selection of cowboys and cowgirls.. which was a talking point for the rest of the
caravaners who were on site..
Thanks to everyone who made the effort and made it a great weekend.
