July 4th - 6th  Turnpike Farm Biggleswade

Well here we are halfway through the year, the forecast for the weekend was not
very favorable,
but we enjoyed very good weather for the weekend.
When we turned up ,there was Steve and Jeanette testing various awnings, once we
had 3 units together we all gathered around Bill & Ros's van and the wine started to
flow and a very nice blackberry drink,, by 19.30 we thought that we need food but
every one was not really sober enough so a chinese was called who brought a very
nice meal. He was very impressed with the table laid out with plates, cutlery and even
a vase of flowers . We sat out and enjoyed a very nice evening till about 22.30.

Saturday  was left to explore the area. with Bill & Ros going off early to catch some
car boot sales. Mark and Hilary went off to Biggleswade, then through to Sandy.
In the area quite close was also a RSBP Nature reserve, the walks were very nice. St
Neot's was also a very nice town, About Mid-day Ken and Helen arrived and the roll
out were assembled,
then a short while after that  Tanya and John arrived with a new member of the TEC
club. Amy who is only 3 weeks old.

A trip was made to the local K.F.C  and a few bucket loads of food was collected and
taken back to the site and every one tucked into a nice meal.

Bill had made arrangements with the site owner so there was no need to rush off site
on the Sunday. So a nice quite morning was spent chatting and drinking tea or
Coffee.. to help cure some of the hang overs.....
Thanks to Hilary for the Write up.

2008 Continued

             Stratford upon Avon  June 6th - 8th.

Once again a very quick change of venue due to Riverside still
being Flooded.

We remained in the Stratford Area and found a rather nice site
with very nice and accommodating staff.

All 5 units arrived safely which included Peter and his wife from
Chesterfield who we give a big welcome to and hope to see you
on future Rallies also Trevor and his wife from Duston,  Once
every one was set up  and well rested we all took ourselves off
into Stratford and went for a meal at the weatherspoons pub
which was very good. even better when Hilary handed out
vouchers to every one who got a good deal off there meal.
Saturday as is the norm every one once up did there own thing all
day.
The gazebo's were erected during the day and in the evening all
the bar b q's were lit and with everyone in costume we had a
great evening eating, drinking and chatting. We even tried out the
new drinks fountain obtained by Helen for everyone's enjoyment.
Sunday was spent at a leisurely pace because we did not have
any set time to leave the site. The news did come through that
Tanja had a girl and so all our best wishes go to Tanya and John.
Hope the new addition doesn't make to much extra work for you.....

Tony and Leslie were unable to attend this rally as planned. Due
to Leslie falling and brakeing both he wreist and an ankle.
Here's hopeing all is healing well and hope to see you on future
Rallies.
