Rally to Biggleswade in July.
The weather threatened to be bad but we arrived in bright sunshine..
Friday afternoon was spent shopping in Biggleswade and then everyone watched
Steve and Jeanette try out different awnings.
Hilary brought some very nice Blackberry juice which turned out to be quite a
strong vodka. some wine followed and then we suddenly saw the time. Bill
managed to find a friendly chinese takeaway who were happy to deliver out to us.
so while we waited we put up tables and a nice table cloth on top with all place
settings put out and a vase of flowers in the middle of a field. so we chatted and
ate till about 10.30 ish. The countryside is some what flat and uninteresting but
there are some very delightful villages and thatched houses around.
Nearby was a RSPB Reservoir with nice walks and lots to see .
Saturday afternoon we had a visit from Tanja and John who brought Amy ( 3
weeks old) over to see us all.

Bank Holiday Kings Lynn 2008
Good Job Paul the site owners knows us.. we had 10 pitches booked initially BUT
only 3 turned up.
But we didnt have to pay for the other 7... Could of been quite an expensive
weekend for the club.
Anyway the 3 that did turn had a great time and enjoyed the weekend.
all doing there own things during the day and meeting up at nights for a drink or
Bar-B-q. or just a chat to say how the day had been. Nice to have met Rosemary
and Roger and glad to hear you had a good time.
looking forward to seeing you on future rallies.

With regard to any other business.:: We have now made contact with TEC Leisure and
being as they are sponsors of the 3 counties showground caravan show in Malvern we
have been asked to make a presence there.
There will be 6 units attending this show , just to show TEC leisure we are a club and
we are serious about it.
The rally that was to be held at Hilbee has had to be cancelled as there was only 1
person booked on that rally.
The Malvern show is 3rd to 5th October so we are treating this as the October rally.
It was agreed that a continental rally be held in 2009.
and that it should be held during a half term or full summer break..
it has been decided that we shall have this rally in either April, May or October half
terms. Details to follow but if anyone is interested in going Please please contact Bill
soonest.
Once the meeting was closed all those who attended were treated to a fish and chip

October Rally
County Showground Malvern
With the invitation arranged by our recently retired chairman Mark, then the arrangements made by Bill,
we set up camp as guests of Techleisure at the First@Three Counties Show Malvern.
Bill was first on site, followed by 5 other units by Friday night. Most spent time wondering around the
show
some picking up some bargains on the trade stalls. In the evening we took advantage of the Abba Tribute
Show & Hog Roast laid on by our hosts. Having been fed & watered, figuratively speaking, we enjoyed
the evenings entertainment.
Saturday, members of the committee set up a stand to promote the TEC Owners club next to the TEC
caravan display in space generously provided by Techleisure. This provided us with a great opportunity
to meet possible new owners & members. Again we headed off to the show provided for our
entertainment, and entertained we were. The show was another tribute show, The Rat Pack show. Frank,
Dean & Sammy
supported with live music & showgirls were the order of the day
.
Then, Helen, our Entertainments Officer,
was whisked off by Dean to provide us with a duet with Frank singing 'Something Stupid'. Now that's
what I call dedication to duty. Helen is now taking bookings !!!
Sunday, well what can I say. Having survived an overnight monsoon, we had a get together undercover
over tea &
coffee on the stand in the show where we met Graham, Fran & family, prospective new club members,
before
we packed up our soggy belongings and headed for home.
Many thanks to Mike Lake & the staff of Techleisure for there help & support for our club and look
forward to future events with them. Also to seeing many of you at Diamond Farm for our Halloween Rally
in November and again at our second New Year Rally.
Ken (Chairman)

Yet another successful rally at Diamond Farm which is proving to be a favorite with members old and
new.
The weekend really went with a bang, thanks to Jackie and her family's kind invitation to join their
firework display. Ken, Bill and Tony went shopping and came back with a donation of extra fireworks
on behalf of the club,
A big heartfelt thanks to all at Diamond farm for their hospitality and all of their the help over the
weekend. Also many thanks for the raffle prize of a free weekend at Diamond Farm. The evening
further progressed into a delicious bonfire night supper.
My first ever indoor Bar B Que. A big thank you to all of the members who helped with the
preparations and serving. There was a lot of thought and effort put into the Halloween costumes well
done every one, there were some really scary ones. The children all looked particularly good,
The bar was decorated superbly and looked very creepy and crypt like. Breakfast consisted of bacon
rolls pots of baked beans in pots with bangers which were a novel idea and went down well with the
children.
This was followed by both a child and an adult raffle which everyone seemed to enjoy. Thank you to
everyone that kindly donated prizes. A very warm welcome to Graham, Fran and family and also to Mr
& Mrs Lake and their family.
I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and had chance to see how the club functions. Hopefully we will
see you all again at future rallies. We look forward to seeing you in the new year
Alas it's a sad farewell to Elaine & Ron, who are leaving Diamond Farm for pastures new. Thank you
both for all your help in the past and good luck in your new jobs.
Tony

November Rally Diamond Farm
To say this was an eventful rally would be an understatement, events one of which will
remain private in respect for those involved. The others causing problems to those affected,
consisting of a broken door lock, boiling battery and bent tow bar, all of being sorted by the friendships
formed
within our club as members rallied round their fellow members to help. A big thank you to those
of you who helped. Well done.
Despite the sub zero temperatures we managed to stay nice and warm in our cosy vans, occasionally
dining at Sturdy's Castle, feasting on their huge jacket potatoes, and then visiting each other to
participate in the wine and beer tasting session now famous on many TEC rallies!!!
The New Years celebrations, I'm sure you all agree, will be a was a tuff
by Diamond Farm, then a raffle on behalf of the TEC Owners Club. Thanks to those who kindly
donated prizes. This year a hot buffet was provided that was fit for a king [Travel Kings included] with
plenty to chose from for both adults and children. I don't think anyone left hungry. Finally the New Year was
welcomed with champagne and fireworks closely followed by the mobile network meltdone now
experienced every year
as we scramble to wish those we left behind a Happy New Year.
A big thank you to John and Jackie for hosting a fantastic event for which we will return next year with
10 plots reserved for the 2009/2010 celebrations.
Finally I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year for 2009 and hope to see many of you at
our forthcoming rallies.
Happy Caravanning.
Ken Platt Chairman.
